Tommy Solomon
Solomon Sunday Tommy is a seasoned communication professional and volunteer program manager with a wealth of experience in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and project execution. His career is marked by a dedication to leveraging communication and program management skills for organizational growth and social impact. As the Volunteer Program Manager at the Asisat Oshoala Foundation/Academy, Solomon has spearheaded numerous initiatives that foster growth and development within the academy and the community. He has successfully coordinated over 10 events, including the Asisat Oshoala Football4Girls Tournament in 2023, and implemented leadership and life skills projects in more than eight underserved communities, impacting over 20,000 girls.
He also streamlined talent recruitment, led a comprehensive restructuring of the academy’s corporate strategy, and managed fundraising activities that secured sponsorship support for the Academy. A key achievement has been the development and implementation of a holistic safeguarding policy to ensure the well-being of all participants. Prior to his current role, Solomon was a faculty team member at the Headstone Entrepreneurial College from December 2014 to March 2018, a role he reprised from 2020 till date for the Headstone Skills Acquisition Programme (HSAP). In this capacity, he was instrumental in executing the college’s concept, developing curricula, securing faculty, and managing logistics for applications and registration. He has brought this experience to bear in designing and implementing the Academy’s skills acquisition program. His professional background also includes a distinguished tenure at the Bank of Industry (BOI), where he led strategic communication initiatives and contributed to the bank winning several local and international awards.
